Descriptions

Our retail box is fully customizable to the needs of the clients. It is designed to protect the product, provide information to customers, and sometimes even attract buyers with its design. Retail boxes come in various shapes and sizes depending on the product they contain. They often include details such as the product name, brand, features, usage instructions, and any necessary legal or safety information.

SuperPak also uses two types of advanced printing for our retail box – offset printing and high-definition flexographic printing.

  1. Offset printing: Also known as offset lithography, is a technique where the image to be printed is transferred (or “offset”) from a metal plate to a rubber blanket, and then from the blanket to the printing surface (usually paper or cardboard). This indirect transfer helps achieve high-quality prints with sharp images and text.
Some key advantages of using offset printing on retail box:

    • High-Quality Print: Offset printing delivers sharp, clean images and text with consistent colour accuracy. It’s particularly suitable for detailed designs, high-resolution graphics, and fine text.
    • Colour Fidelity: The process supports a wide range of colours and allows for precise colour matching. This is crucial for brand consistency, especially when packaging needs to align with specific brand colours.
    • Versatility in Materials: Offset printing can be used on various substrates, including coated and uncoated papers, cardboard, and certain specialty materials. This makes it adaptable for different types of retail boxes.
    • Cost-Effectiveness for Large Runs: While the setup costs for offset printing can be higher compared to digital printing, it becomes more cost-effective for large print runs due to lower per-unit costs once the setup is complete.
    • Finishing Options: Offset printing supports a range of finishing options, including varnishing, laminating, and embossing. These finishes can enhance the visual appeal and durability of retail box.
  2. High-Definition Flexographic printing: High-definition flexo, or HD flexo, is an advanced version of traditional flexographic printing. It incorporates state-of-the-art technologies to produce higher-quality prints with finer details, improved colour consistency, and better image clarity.
Some key advantages of using HD Flexo printing:

    • Enhanced Image Quality: HD flexo technology allows for finer line work, smoother gradations, and sharper images compared to standard flexo printing. This is achieved through improved plate processing and advanced anilox rolls that transfer ink more precisely.
    • Vivid Colors: High flexo printing provides vibrant and accurate colour reproduction. This is particularly beneficial for packaging, where colour fidelity is crucial for brand identity and product appeal.
    • Fine Details: With HD flexo, it’s possible to achieve more intricate details and textures. This is useful for complex designs, detailed illustrations, or photographic images on packaging.
    • Reduced Dot Gain: Dot gain is the phenomenon where printed dots spread and appear larger than intended. HD flexo technology minimizes dot gain, resulting in cleaner and more precise prints.
    • Efficient Production: High-definition flexo printing can be more efficient than other high-quality printing processes, particularly for long runs. It combines high-quality output with the cost-effectiveness of flexo printing.
    • Sustainability: Flexo printing generally uses water-based or low-VOC (volatile organic compounds) inks, making it a more environmentally friendly option compared to some other printing methods.
