Descriptions

Paper Pulp Tray, also known as molded pulp or molded fiber, is a versatile packaging material made from recycled paperboard or post-consumer newspapers. It is commonly used for protective packaging across various industries, including electronics and food, due to its cost-effectiveness and sustainability.

Defined by the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, paper pulp trays are considered eco-friendly. They are produced from recycled materials and can be recycled again at the end of their lifecycle, making them a sustainable choice for environmentally conscious packaging solutions.

Molded Pulp Trays are available in various types, including:

  • White Tray: Typically used for a clean, professional appearance, often in food and electronics packaging.
  • Corrugated Tray: Features a textured, corrugated surface that enhances strength and cushioning, commonly used for more robust protective packaging.

The production of molded paper pulp trays can be carried out using different methods:

  • Dry Press Methods: Involves pressing the pulp into molds and then drying it to create a solid, durable tray.
  • Wet Press Methods: Involves forming the trays from pulp while still wet, followed by pressing and drying to achieve the final shape and strength.
